Who We Are
Blue School is an innovative independent school for students, age 2 through grade 8, located in lower Manhattan. We are a community of educators and families who believe in the undeniable capacity of children. We know that an education that balances academic mastery, self and social intelligence, and creative thinking results in capable, compassionate, joyful young people.
Why Blue School?
Blue School educates children ages two - grade 8 to be adaptable thinkers, collaborative problem solvers, and courageous innovators. Blue School’s model is founded on the balance between academic mastery, self and social intelligence, and creative thinking. These three pillars are the roots of everything we do. Our program stretches students academically, supports them where needed, and expands how they think and navigate the world. We celebrate each child for the individual they are, honor what they bring into the classroom every day, and help them develop their unique voice.
